This announcement for the 1931 film, "Bachelor Apartment," is a perfect example of the type of film the Catholic League of Decency and other groups claimed was destroying the morals of America. Their campaign resulted in the adoption of the Movie Picture Production Code which policed Hollywood from 1934 to 1966.
